About the event

"In 2024, a new and exciting archaeology project launched under the banner of the Destination Tweed initiative. This project sets out to investigate unexplored aspects of the archaeology and history of the river, from its source near Moffat to the sea at Berwick and encompassing all periods of history and prehistory. From 21st century technology to old fashioned spades in the ground, the Uncovering the Tweed project aims to involve as many people as possible in investigating the river's past, and to share the results as widely as possible. This talk will cover results of the project's work so far on surveys, excavations and research workshops and aims for the coming years."
