Lorena Hitchens is a postgraduate researcher at Newcastle University, specialising in the study of Roman dodecahedron artefacts. Lorena received an MA (with distinction) in the Archaeology of Roman Frontiers in 2022 from Newcastle University, where her dissertation was also on Roman dodecahedra. Lorena has published articles on Roman dodecahedra in Archaeologia Aeliana and the Journal of Archaeological Science: Reports (submitted), and a post-excavation specialist report in the ADS. Lorena has presented a talk to the Roman Finds Group on her MA research in 2022 and a poster on her PhD research at the Roman Society conference RAC/TRAC 2026. Lorena owns the website dodecahedragirl.org
